"Good Rockin' Tonight"/"I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine" (RCA) 447-0602 + Rare PS MINT!
Elvis' second Sun single followed hot on the heels of "That's All Right Mama" later in 1954. Sam Phillips re-captured the magic of Elvis Presley, Scotty Moore & Bill Black with a great performance of Roy Brown's "Good Rockin' Tonight" coupled with "I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine", a song Elvis had heard sung by Dean Martin that was written by Mack David for Walt Disney's "Cinderella" but was later cut from the film. While not as revelatory as the first single, this record still helped to solidify the position that Elvis was not just a one-hit wonder! This pressing is the "Gold Standard Series" issue from 1965- the first time that this title appeared with a picture sleeve. The full color front cover is a seldom seen "Kissin' Cousins" era publicity still, the back has a complete list of "Elvis Presley Singles" through 1965. U.S. RCA Victor black "dog on top" labels on a black vinyl record in beautiful condition. Sleeve has rarely been handled & is in pristine MINT condition. The record is in MINT unplayed condition with no scratches. Overall condition M/M.
