Serial Nr.: 31,126 Country of Origin: SOUTH AFRICA Year of Release: 19?? Record Condition: M- Cover Condition: EX Comments:Megarare South African only ELVIS PRESLEY LP Release!
Record is in near Mint Condition with only some very light general Agewear discernable. Labels are in Mint Condition.
LP Cover has, what looks like light Scuffing on Front Cover but, on closer Examination, looks more like a slight Printing Fault. There are also a few slight Dings on the Corners of the Album Cover, especially noticeable on top right Corner otherwise the Cover is in still excellent to near Mint Condition and only reveals some very light general Ring-and Agewear.
This is the megarare South African only LP Release, a Vinyl Delight to most ELVIS Collectors!
"Jailhouse Rock" was released only as an EP but South Africa added some more contemporary Tracks to it and filled it out to make an LP of it, using the same classic Artwork that was used for the EP! In the 12" Format that Artwork really comes to live!
Makes you wonder why RCA or the ELVIS Management didn't have the Intelligence to do what South Africa did and release this Super-Elvis Classic as an the LP worldwide?!
Anyway, aren't we all glad that South Africa did?!!
One Thing I could not though determine? All my Research on the Internet gave this LP either an 1957 or 1958 Release Date; I think both are wrong!
While the original "Jailhouse Rock" EP was released then, the southafrican LP, being released on the orange RCA Label, indicates to me a more likely Release Date of around 1969 or 1970?!
Irrespective of that though, Fact is, this is simply a megarare ELVIS Vinyl Rarity and in this still highly collectable Condition an absolute Must-Have for any
ELVIS PRESLEY Record Collector!
