Description
Elvis Presley`s 1st Album self titled on the HMV label CLP 1093 with reproduction sleeve This album is in fantastic condition for its 65 years! I have just listened to the whole album for the first time in many years Of the 12 songs, 10 play perfectly with no clicks, jumps or skips and a collectors dream find, however there is an issue with Mystery Train last few lines & Im Gonna Sit Right Down an Cry on first few lines as there is a `jump` at these points unfortunately There is no background hiss, if there is, I sure never heard any, just clean clear exciting sound of the period Both Labels are clean and complete with no writings and the dog is as white as could be The Gold Print is clean and clear both sides and the shine on the vinyl both sides is amazing
For those collectors interested in these things then the following Serial Number are on the `run-out` groove on side one 2XAV-2551N while on side two, on the `run out` groove 2XAV-256 1N
The original Poly lined Inner Sleeve is also clean and tidy with the warning on the front around the center hole that you should `Check Your Gramophone Needle Regularly` `A Chipped Needle Will Give Poor Reproduction` etc. etc. etc.
The Album cover is NOT the original as its thicker card than the original copy, which was thinner card It does have the half moon cutouts in the top and bottom fold-overs and has a high gloss finish back and front.
This collectors item is for the the fan who wishes to replace a less desirable copy of this release that has a near mint Sleeve opr to fill a gap in their collection Or a fan who wishes to own a near mint copy of the Album despite the two `jumps and the reproduction sleeve
I know my photos are not good and I'm rubbish at taking them, but I can assure any buyer they will be more than pleased to obtain such a copy
