ELVIS PRESLEY-SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY PLEASE. The album that started it all.The album was bought by an eleven year old girl in a store in 1956, and has been in her possession ever since. She is 65 years old now. Time for this true collector's piece to trade hands and complete one lucky person's Elvis Collection. This is Elvis' very 1st record album. LPM-1254 with the very rare BLUE label. The 1st pressings were made with the blue label by mistake and RCA quickly changed it to the black label. Only a few were made. It has the P.D. credit on the song "Just Because" Read on----
This iconic records influence can still be felt today. Elvis was one of the top earners in show business last year.
The first release of this record credited the song writing to the song "Just Because" to P.D. - Public Domain. You can only imagine how surprised the authors were to find they weren't able to get on the gravy train.
The song writing credits were quickly changed on subsequent pressings. The record guides don't mention this fact. But serious record collectors look for this issue.
The record is in very good condition for it's age, some light surface scratches and a black check mark on one side. NO chips, stickers or warping.The cover is in very good condition with some invisible tape on the seams, a brown mark on lower right back cover. NO stickers or writing. The original inner sleeve is good with some wrinkles.
