Description
Original USA pressing of RCA Victor RECORDS #SPD-26, "Great Country Western Hits" EP.
This is a special "promotional" record; I don't know if it was the kind of promo "not available to the public" (only given out to radio stations, etc), but it wasn't sold in stores. It may have been some kind of giveaway.
Anyway, it was issued in 1956 and this record contains 4 songs, three of them Sun Records recordings: Side 6: Blue Moon of Kentucky / Love Me Tender Side 15: Mystery Train / Milkcow Blues Boogie
This came originally in a box with more records. I don't have the box, the way I received this was in an original RCA Victor folder (album) with all the records - ALMOST. Actually it had sides 3,4,4,5,6,15,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,16,17,17,18. Yes, that's correct- there are two copies of the Side 4/Side 17 present.
Since it's not the complete set (if it WAS, it would be worth $400 or more) I've decided to sell the Elvis by itself. For one thing that's what everyone wants. For another, it's the one most often missing as it's the only "Rock & Roll" disc in the set. And last, shipping (especially overseas) will be a lot cheaper for just the single disc.

Anyway, for the single Elvis disc I'm offering here, labels are Near Mint/VG++ (small factory flaw on one side) and record is VG (full original gloss, some light scratches and one small feeler scratch. Overall, very nice, due to the high high gloss.. very nice visual appeal. And very rare.
All records are original pressings unless noted. Visually graded, but questionable records are playgraded. NM (Near Mint) is usually my highest grade for 45s. See our Grading info. Labels are NM unless noted; and item has no writing, stamps, stickers, drillholes, or other noteworthy defects unless specifically noted or shown in photos otherwise.
