Description

"  EMERSON  LAKE  &  PALMER "   1ST ALBUM   VERY RARE

Released in 1970  on "ISLAND"  PINK LABEL   ILPS 9132   1ST PRESSING

                                                                   Condition:   NEAR  MINT

I bought this Album the week it was released from my local record shop.  It was
always played on a high quality record deck (Thorens 125 turntable SME arm with
Shure V15 cartridge.)  The record was always cleaned with a high quality record
cleaner and stored in an anti-static inner sleeve and the cover has always been stored
in a plastic outer sleeve for protection.

I am not a record dealer, I am just selling off my own private Album collection.

                                                                            THE  COVER

The COVER is in a NEAR MINT condition.  The WHOLE COVER is in a SEMI
SHEEN finish.  It is in a truly BEAUTIFUL condition, it is VERY CLEAN and
CLEAR, with only the minutest crease on the back cover, top right hand corner, which
is barely noticeable. All the FOUR CORNERS are FIRM and TRUE and completely
free from scuff marks except, one tiniest scuff on the bottom right hand corner of the
front cover. The SPINE is VERY STRAIGHT and CLEAR and completely free of any
creases or defects.  The SLEEVE OPENING is COMPLETELY STRAIGHT and
absolutely free from any fraying.  This 39 year old ALBUM COVER that has been stored
all these years and still really looks like NEW.  For all the E.L.P. fans and collectors,
it will be very hard to find an Album like this in a better condition.

This Album has the original white paper inner sleeve.

                                                                                THE  VINYL

The VINYL is in a NEAR MINT condition.  It is VERY CLEAN in a HIGH GLOSS
MIRROR finish  The LABELS are the "PINK LABELS" which are VERY CLEAN
and CLEAR.  They are completely free from any SPINDLE marks.  This Album has
not been played in the last 37 years, and before that it was not played more than 4 or
5 times.  In the TEST PLAY on my REGA PLANAR 3 record deck, the SOUND
quality was STUNNING.  The whole Album played BEAUTIFULLY throughout with
a VERY SHARP, CLEAN sound.  It was full of DETAIL which was CRYSTAL CLEAR.
On side 1. track 2. in the very quiet passages there are a few extemely light static pops,
and on side 2. track 1.  again there are a few extremely light static pops in the quiet
moments.  However these in no way effect the sound quality.  The whole Album is
free from any clicks, jumps or scratches.  I was personally knocked out playing this
Album again.  This Album, in almost new condition, should definately not be missed!

If you have any questions please feel free to email me.

                                                                           PEDRO'S  VINYL

I have been collecting Albums since 1964 and have amassed a fantastic collection
of rare LPs.  I recently made the traumatic decision to sell off my collection in order
to finance other ventures.  I have always been obsessive about playing my Albums on
the best possible audio equipment for that era.  My Albums have always been stored
in a special LP unit to keep them free from dust and heat.  Thank you for looking and
good luck with your bidding, PEDRO.
