Description
EMI HMV UK Mono LP ALP 1520, GINETTE NEVEU, violin, Chausson Poème, Op.25, with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Issay Dobrowen, Debussy Sonata No.3 for Violin and Pianoforte and Ravel Tzigane, with piano accompaniment by Jean Neveu.
Fully-laminated flipback sleeve has obvious creases and ringwear, plus opening edge laminate loss.
Vinyl: Side 1 has some light lines and small marks. There is a very obvious scuff mark (pictured), but this seems not to affect audio with any repetitive noises, but there is background noise throughout and occasional clicks of varying strength, but no sticks or jumps. On the very last band of this side, there are some small marks which do cause serious 'pops' throughout the final half of this band. This side grades Good.
Side 2 has similar light lines and small marks, causing similar clicks, and with similar background noise but, again, no sticks or jumps. There is a very obvious scratch mark across bands 2 to 4, causing clicks and pops of varying strength, and a small scuff and a skating line on band 3 also contribute to this. This side also grades Good.
Clearly, not a perfect example of this LP, but rare enough to warrant a sale, and still with strong enough audio for a pleasant listening experience. Please see my other listings for another NEVEU LP, ALP 1479.
