Description
Ernest Ansermet's sensitive and atmospheric interpretation of Ravel's Daphhis and Chloe still thrills after over fifty years!
Other information: Ansermet conducts L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande with Les Choeurs de la Radio Romande (Lausanne). The Chorus Master is Andre Charlet.
He conducts the complete ballet, not the suites.
Record details: Decca SXL 6204. Stereo. Wide band grooved label, 1st pressing.
Date of issue: 1965.
Condition of disc: This disc is in very good condition but there is a light mark across half of the second of the two bands on side two. This does not affect play adversely and the disc will give much listening pleasure.
Condition of sleeve: Very good with little signs of wear. The inner sleeve is in excellent condition. The sleeve notes are by Ray Minshull.
