Every Tuesday between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm (European Time) I will offer old punky records. My name is ‘punky_music’
Very clean pressing in near mint condition. Only 1,000 handnumbered records of their first, best and rarest 7” by NYHC punk band EVEN WORSE were made. With the band is a young Thurston Moore of SONIC YOUTH. Complete with photo/lyric sheet and small flyer with fanzine excerpts. The really powerful and really great song ‘Mouse Or Rat’ will knock your head off. The band waste no time on w*nky guitar riffs. The winner on the flip titled ‘1984’ and features good lyrics like ‘No One Becomes A 9 To 5 Jerk. They’ve Got Machines To Do Your Work. Sounds Like 1984. But That’s What We’ve Been Waiting For’. Don’t miss this early NYHC rarity because here’s your chance to get the original first US pressing, released on their own private mini label ‘Worse Than You’ records in 1982 (catalogue number WORST 0001). As additional, here’s the comment from the wonderful FLEX (US Hardcore/Punk Discography):
· Recorded live at City Gardens, Trenton, NJ, Aug 27, 82. Hand numbered inside the sleeve, limited to 1000. + lyric sheet and small flyer with fanzine excerpts.
· NYC band feat. Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth on guitar. A side is fast, well-played early New York hardcore with a bit more diversity and humor than many other bands from that era/city; B side is a bit slower but still OK. Clean and powerful live recording. Good record. [7]
· Eine leider etwas unbekannte New Yorker HC-Band (übrigens mit Thurston Moore an der 1Gitarre!); sehr saubere Live-Aufnahme mit viel Energie, die Jungs konnten wirklich gut spielen, vor allem der Drummer ist sehr fix. Auf der A-Seite ein flotter NY-HC-Track mit etwas mehr Humor und Abwechslung als damals üblich, die B-Seite ist etwas langsamer + bedächtiger. Insgesamt eine schöne Platte.

Mailing / Versand: alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen 7“ Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden (all records will be sent in plain white 7“ sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits). Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
