Released in October 1969, this Lp was the follow up to the hugely successful Zeppelin I... & what an album...Being the groups very first album to reach No. 1 in both the UK and the USA.

The album production was entirely credited to Jimmy Page.

I have just given her a gentle vacuum clean as well as a little ultrasonic bath and then played her-all the way through-on BOTH sides.

WOW-the audio popped right out!

Being one of my favourite albums of all time-it really wasn't a chore to listen to her through at HIGH volume!!

The stereo split on Ramble On is lovely and clear and always makes me smile!...(Oh the times I have played this to a girl when we were splitting up)...!...And 'Thank You' too...perfect break-up/leaving your loved one tracks ;)

This quality heavyweight slab of vinyl sounds utterly magical! The vinyl has just some faint, light marks, but not many at all. On playback I noticed some very light and unoffensive background crackle at the very start of track 1, side 1, but this disappears quickly-please listen to the clip provided in the listing.

Even the quieter Thank You track, is wonderfully quiet in the breakdown..Always a test of audio for this release...The tiny bit of OCCASIONAL and light crackle wasn’t offensive at all-it just reminded me I am listening to a ground breaking album in glorious all oiriginal analogue format....I was still able to pick out the highs and lows which are cut out of the CD format...So much more depth to the album on vinyl.

The tracks BLAST OUT IN ALL THEIR GLORY!

WOW-Superb drums kicking in at the start-magical! And Ooooh, the escalation of the bass line on Ramble On is a pure joy to listen too..

NO SKIPS OR STICKS-PLAYED ON MY FOCUS ONE DECK, using a VERY light arm and AudioTechnics cartridge.

FLAT as the day she was born in ‘69.

!!!!AS ZEPPELIN WANTED YOU TO HEAR THEM-with just some light and VERY occasional crackle!!!!

Not just those two 1st pressing indicators, but she also carries the mistake for the last track on side 1: "THANKYOU"....without the space betweent the two words....The earliest example you can find.

"COPYRIGHT CONTROL" to BOTH SIDES, rather than the later Warner Bros.
