Released on the 17th of April 1964, this album was the first Stones' album on the DECCA label. There have been many pressings of this album in the following years-With the first AND second pressings having the shortened version of MONA. This pressing is the 2nd, with the corrected and longer version of 'I Need You Baby' (Earlier titled: 'Mona')

 There are only a few very light wispy light marks to her...and not many of them either-SUPERB.
I have just listened to ALL of it and it just sounds like the Stones at their raw best!
CERTAINY NO JUMPS OR SKIPS ON MY FOCUS ONE DECK-Fitted with an SME arm and a new Audio Technica stylus.
Deep rich bass and very, VERY clear audio reproduction.
Barely any background noise! All that there is is very gently heard in the run-ins...MAGICAL!
She is lovely and flat-a real beauty to listen to and hear the start of something huge!

Clear and bright, with the luscious deep red colour associated with the first early MONO pressings. They have just 2 or 3 VERY light traces of spindle marks, visible when angled to the light-with almost zero hole wear....!

THE 1st PRINTING OF THIS ICONIC COVER.
DOES have the 'Mono' to the back top right corner.
Barely any discolouration to the back card, as can be seen in the images provided...SUPERB.
The front has a very small amount of spidering to the laminate, please see the detailed images and hover over them for more detail...Just a line to thetop left corner and small fingers of spidering emanating from the seems.
NO splits to the seams or spine-lovely and strong.

The Inner

 It is the ALL ORIGINAL STARRED DECCA heavyweight paper inner, with the poly-lining.
"BRITISH patent No. 800513   (With) FOREIGN PATENTS PENDING."
Great shape with just some slight discoloration through age, where the original glue has come through the paper in light patches.
Certainly looked after the vinyl all of these years.
VERY RARE IN IT'S OWN RIGHT-ESPECIALLY IN THIS FANTASTIC CONDITION!

All in all this is a VERY CLEAN copy of The Stones' first album, which in itself is VERY HARD TO FIND...Most of these were taken to wild parties and trashed.
Plays through with GREAT AUDIO REPRODUCTION FROM QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL, WHEN THEY KNEW HOW TO MAKE 'EM!
