Released on the 17th of April 1964, this album was the first Stones' album on the DECCA label. There have been many pressings of this album in the following years-With the first AND second pressings having the shortened version of MONA. This pressing is the 2nd, with the corrected and longer version of 'I Need You Baby' (Earlier titled: 'Mona')

 There are JUST A FEW light marks to her-Which do  not make her jump, skip or stick and provided just very slight and occasional background noise. The one mark of note, between tracks 3 and 4 of side 2 creates a very light little revolutionary pop, but did not affect my enjoyment of the audio at all as it really is quite soft.
After giving her a gentle professional clean I popped her onto my Focus One deck and listened to the whole album and it just sounded like the Stones at their raw best!
Deep rich bass sound reproduction, with clear highs and deep lows!
Really was hand-clapping fine!!
She is lovely and flat-a real beauty to listen to and hear the start of something huge!

..Clear and bright, with the lucious deep red colour assosiated with the first early MONO pressings. They have rather a lot of only light traces of spindle marks, visible when angled to the light-with barely any central hole wear....

The Sleeve

THE 2nd PRINTING OF THIS ICONIC COVER.
DOES have the 'Mono' to the back top right corner.
Only some very light discolouration to the back card, as can be seen in the detailed images provided-Notinh at all to worry about.
*NO WRITING*
The front has just a couple of small crescents of spidering to the opening-around 5, as well as a small lifting patch to the bottom right corner-which has not split through at all. Other than that, there are just some very small fingers emanating from the seams but aren't pronounced at all....Very, VERY DISPLAYABLE.
NO splits to the seams and with a great, legible, clean spine which remains strong and free fgrom any splits too.
Even the croners are only gently rubbed from storage.

The Inner

It is the CORRECT DECCA STARRED INNER! And in SUPERB shape too.
Not only that but it is so early, it carries the "FOREIGN PATENTS PENDING" text.
There's barely any discolouration either-with the inner poly-lining remaining clean and clear too...A superb example here!

All in all this is a great, solid copy of The Stones' first album, which in itslef is VERY HARD TO FIND...Most of these were taken to wild parties and trashed.
Plays through with CLEAN & CLEAR AUDIO REPRODUCTION WITH QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL, WHEN THEY KNEW HOW TO MAKE 'EM!
THE COVER IS TOP NOTCH, AS IS THE CORRECT PERIOD INNER.
