This baby has firstly been gently vacuum cleaned and then ultrasonically cleaned, and then listened to-ALL THE WAY THROUGH & AT VOLUME.

Being released on the 28th of March 1973, by Atlantic Records, this album was a 'tip of the hat' to the Zepp fans who turned up to hear them play live at places-dubbed Houses Of The Holy.

The album was full of NEW MATERIAL and entered the UK charts in the number 1 position, also reaching the number 1 slot across the Atlanic, in the US charts.

This copy up for auction is the very 1st pressing defined by:

NO Warner "WEA" to the labels.

When I gave her a gentle vacuum clean and then listened to her-all the way through (at volume)-I am very happy to report the audio reproduction was lovely, rich & clear!

NO significant background noise to speak of.

I did notice a bit of light background crackle, right at the start of No Quarter, in the quiet intro, but nothing offensive at all....It was quite warming and reminded me this is an ORIGINAL 1st PRESS slab of vinyl from 1973 and not a digital reproduction.

Quiet run-ins and run-outs too :)

Infact, when listening to this superb slab of vinyl I noticed some different audio I had not noticed before: The fade away on 'Over The Hills..' was so quiet that I noticed different arrangements going into 'The Crunge' with some clear chat at the start of the track..

ALSO..

The clarity of the soft countdown start on 'The Ocean' was simply fantastic...I have included a clip of the start of this track for you to hear how wonderfully clear the track is.

FLAT as the day she was born too.

Visually and under bright light, I see there are faint traces of marks but these had no significant bearing on playback...They just provide a very occasional and gentle bit of background crackle, but nothing bad at all.

The Labels:

They each have the deep-set groove to both sides, at around 2cm in from the outer edge of the label.

Just traces of a couple of light and faint spindle marks-evident only when angled towards the light.

NO WRITING

NO Warner "WEA" at the end of the rim text AND the rim-text finishes BEFORE the white central band-showing this to be THE 1st Pressing.

"Superhype" credit too.

The Sleeve:

It is the ORIGINAL gatefold sleeve.

FREE FROM SPLITS OR TEARS.

There is a tiny 1cm patch of lifting to the top of the back panel-please see the detailed images for yourselves and you will see how small and insignificant it is for yourselves.
