This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl:

QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL: 154g/147g

The vinyl is in superb condition! After listening to her ALL THE WAY through I was incredibly impressed with the minimal background noise and the CLEAR QUALITY AUDIO which shone through!
Only carries some light marks, which provide the occasional pop, but really nothing at all to worry about.
CERTAINLY NO STICKS OR JUMPS
FLAT as the day she was born!

TURN HER UP-I DID ;)


The labels:
VG+. Three of the four labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple....As you can see in the detailed images provided, side 3 has a small amount of lifting.
There are only some very light and small spindle marks to each label, these can only be seen when angling towards the light....
GLORIOUS!!
Next to NO HOLE WEAR at all to 4 labels.
NO WRITING
"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels.

NO "An EMI Recording" to sides 1 & 4

"KT" Tax code to sides 1 AND 4!!

The Cover:

NUMBERED: 0186209 It is an EARLY first run, with TOP loading.
 Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold
The spine remains solid, with some rubbing to the top and bottom sections and some squishing-BUT NO SPLITS!
The cover is creamy white, with some small areas of spidering to the laminated gatefold cover and ring wear-where she has held these discs for the last 46 years!
The top right corner has a more pronounced line of spidering, with the back cover remaining strong, just a few small crescents of spidering here.

Correct MONO cover as it doesn't have the printing of  Stereo to the back top right.
Some light handling wear to the opening but nothing bad at all.
Lovely and clean on the inside of the gatefold.
AGAIN, I AM BEING INCREDIBLY CRITICAL!!!

Excellent, very strong Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold flipbacks....
ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING!!!


Inners:  VG++! They are the ORIGINAL inners. They have the die-cut corners and the 'window' on one side to each.
FREE FROM SEEM SPLITS
The two windows do have small tears to them-as you can see in the images provided.
Certainly looked after the vinyl!!!
RARE TO FIND THESE ORIGINAL INN IN SUCH GREAT SHAPE

All original....BUT THIS IS A RARE VARIANT:
Looking closely I noticed the print is slightly 'off' with shadows to the majority of the images-please see the close-ups I have provided.
I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE...
She has a split to one of the creases-THAT IS ALL!
Some slight discolouration but still looks great.
