This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

VG+++. GORGEOUSLY shiny vinyl. The vinyl has a some visible marks to her, BUT after playing her through, I found just a very small amount background noise and a tiny, tiny skip on track 2 & 3, with a couple of very light pops (about 5) to the last track on side 2 and track 1 side 3...With some crackle at the end of the last track on side 4...
YOU WILL NOT BE SURPRISED BY FLAWS WHEN BUYING THIS PIECE OF HISTORY-IT'S ALL LISTED HERE-AS I HEAR IT ON MY DECK.

Wonderful deep & rich sound reproduction
WITH "BIRTHDAY" KICKING IN AT THE STAT OF SIDE 3-WITH ENOUGH BASS AND DRUMS TO MAKE YOU JUMP!
Lovely and quiet for the fade in and out of Helter Skelter.
A joy to listen to, which would only improve with a professional clean....Really nice playback!
EACH RECORD IS AS FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN.

The labels: EX-. All four of the labels are extremely bright and clean with the DARKER apple.
Only very light spindle marks and light hole wear to each label, but these can only be seen when angling to the light.

"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels.

"An EMI Recording" printed to each side BUT without the brackets!

The Cover: NUMBERED: 0531165 It is the first run TOP loading with a great shine to her.
Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold.
The spine remains strong, with a some small areas of lifting to the laminate just on the spine creating a kind of crease...\really nothing at all to worry about.

Has the printing of Stereo to the back top right.

There are just some small areas of spidering to the laminate, and a few light indentations.
Light rubbing to the corners.
(Please see the detailed pictures for yourself-it really is rather nice).
AGAIN, I AM BEING INCREDIBLY CRITICAL!!!

Inners: EX-. Original BLACK inners.
They are both all original with the die-cut corners and window to one side of each.
The each just the most minimal wear to them and a tiny amoiunt of feathering near their openings-THAT's IT!!
NO SPLITS TO ANY OF THE SEAMS
Some of the BEST black Inners I have seen!

Pictures: NEAR MINT! The 4 ORIGINAL pictures are present (John, Paul, George & Ringo).
They have been kept in simply TOP condition!!
NO rips or tears
NO writing or pin holes.
BRIGHT WHITE BACKINGS TOO


Poster: VG+. It is the ORIGINAL 1st printing of this poster. Lyrics printed to the back and kiss to the front.
NO writing.
ONLY HAS minimal wear to the creases of the fold-with a couple of nicks at the edge creases.
WOULD DISPLAY INCREDIBLY WELL.
