This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!

The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.

By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The vinyl remains shiny. She carries many light marks to her, noticed when angled towards strong light...however, even with these present, after playing her all the way through, I found a wonderfully strong, clean, clear and dynamic audio output.

Disc 1 had some occasional light background noise in the quieter sections of Blackbird and Julia as well as the start of Prudence and I'm So Tired-but this faded away near the start of the tracks. Disc 2 displays even better audio output-with very little background noise-when playing this disc, I noticed a a soft revolutionary couple of light pops, but they were not jarring at all...I have included a clip of the soft Good Night from this side to demonstrate it has no effect on playback-and my arm was on a very light setting too.

CERTAINLY NO SKIPS, STICKS OR JUMPS

There are just a couple of light and very infrequent light pops to the audio...Nothing to detract from its richness.

Wonderful deep & rich sound reproduction.

Even the quieter side 4 played beautifully.

A simple joy to listen to.

Just light spindle marks to each label, with almost ZERO hole wear evident!

"An EMI Recording" on just the one line, rather than split later onto 2 lines.

It is the first run TOP loading with a great creamy white colour and shine to her.

Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold without writing!!

The spine remains ALMOST PERFECT, certainly free from any splits or even any laminate loss...I can still read the title and the catalogue number on the spine.

The printing of Stereo to the back top right has been rubbed but can just see where some of it remains.

There is just light handling and storage wear to this sleeve-as you can see in the detailed images provided. The corners have some VERY slight rubbing...I am being VERY critical here.

ALL ORIGINAL and remains in a very strong, solid, TOP condition.

In regards to spidering to the laminate..well there aren’t any significant lines at all..Just a few tiny fingers of spidering emanating from the deams.

AGAIN, I AM BEING INCREDIBLY CRITICAL!!!

This is an EXCELLENT, very, VERY strong and clean Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold....Remains lovely and clean inside too.

Original BLACK inners. They are both all original with the die-cut corners and window to one side.

They each have feathering to the opening and some splits to them.

They are all present and DO NOT carry pin holes!

With just some incredibly light discolouration to them they shine out in all their glory.

Even the corners remain sharp.

Poster:

VG+.

It is the ORIGINAL 1st printing of this poster. Lyrics printed to the back and kiss to the front and uncensored.

NO writing.

ALL IN ONE PIECE.

There are some small splits on the folds in a few very small areas, as well as some light foxing to the paper.
