But beneath its enduring appeal lies a deeper message that is sometimes overlooked. Stay Another Day was born out of personal loss and emotion, written as a tribute to a life tragically cut short. As we reflect on the song’s legacy, it serves as a reminder of the power of music to connect, heal, and comfort.
In 2024, Tony Mortimer, the writer of Stay Another Day, will mark this special anniversary by giving back. Partnering with Nordoff-Robbins, Tony will shine a light on the transformative role music plays in therapy, especially for children affected by mental health challenges.
This anniversary is more than just a celebration of a song—it’s a call to remember the profound impact that music can have on our lives, particularly in moments of struggle.
