Description

East Central Alabama Sacred Harp Singers-Directed By Elder H.R. Avery (Sacred Records 19??). Rare original copy of this obscure Sacred Harp record. Powerful choral sounds across seventeen songs. Not sure when this was released, but I'd estimate sometime during the 60s or 70s. The record is a solid VG with scuffs, non-feelable scratches, and a mild storage warp on side 2 that tracks fine. Plays solid VG+ overall with a few clicks and pops as well as some light groove noise. The stark deep purple labels have light wear and spindle marks. The plain white generic sleeve is a strong VG- with a two and a half inch bottom seam split from the bottom right corner and a two inch seam split from the top right corner. There's bent and worn corners, crease marks, and age/nicotine browning.
