East Central Alabama Sacred Harp Singers-Directed By Elder H.R. Avery (Sacred Records 19??). Rare original copy of this obscure Sacred Harp record. This is a different album than the record from the same group that we sold a few weeks ago. Powerful choral sounds across seventeen songs. Not sure when this was released, but I'd estimate sometime during the 60s or 70s. The record is a G with heavy scuff marks, a few heavy non-feelable scratches, scuffs, milder non-feelable scratches, and a mild storage lift that tracks fine. Plays strong G with crackle and clicks but no sticks or skips. The royal blue labels have light wear, spindle marks and some stains. The plain white generic sleeve is a solid VG with ring wear, worn and knocked corners, grime, seam and spine wear, stains, age browning, and a previous owner's initials handwritten in blue pen.
