Format: 12” vinyl album in single outer with printed inner sleeve
Condition: The condition report specifically focusses on the outer cover, as this is a common pressing that sold well throughout the early eighties and reached number 17 in the charts on release in 1980. The common vinyl and liner are un-played and ungraded. On this basis that all of the intrinsic value is based on the outer cover, this is graded as follows:
Ø Front panel: very mild creasing, minimal rubbing and indentations from the vinyl stored inside the cover. Minor feathering to opening edge, and a mid-glossy cover. Overall panel grading is excellent minus (-) condition with moderate wear, but a cover that will look amazing framed!
Ø Spine and top and bottom edges: moderate wear points on corners, top and bottom edges and spine. Spine wording still fully legible. Over grading very good condition
Ø Rear panel: very mild creasing, minimal rubbing and indentations from the vinyl stored inside the cover. Minor feathering to opening edge, and a mid-glossy cover. Overall panel grading is excellent minus (-) condition with moderate wear
Ø On the basis that this super rarity is likely to be framed, and wear points visible will be minor and I am giving this sleeve an overall grading of very good plus (+) condition
Rarity: super rare and ‘one off’ opportunity to get a fully signed sleeve by the ‘classic’ line up of the Bunnymen! This record is signed on the front panel, and will look amazing framed!! Signature detail noted as:
Ø Ian McCulloch: this signed is written as ‘Ian Mac!’ in blue biro, and has colour loss, minor smudging and is graded as 3/10 in terms of the signature quality and definition
Ø Les Pattison: this signature is dedicated ‘to Lee Les Pattison’, and he has used the same blue biro with colour loss and is graded as 4/10 in terms of the signature quality and definition
Ø Pete De Freitas: beautiful signature in dark fine felt pen and is graded 8/10 in terms of its strong signature quality and definition
Ø Will Sergeant: stunning and large signature! Graded 8/10 in terms of its strong signature quality and definition
Authenticity: this item was purchased via the world-renowned ‘Omega Auctions’ specialist music auction in February 2022. Omega complete their own due diligence to an expert standard. A redacted copy of the invoice will be provided as record of the item’s authenticity.
