Eddie Cochran “Singin’ To My Baby”
For sale is the original 1958 UK edition LP by Eddie Cochran on the London Records label, catalogue number HA-U 2093. The matrix numbers stamped on the vinyl are: Side 1 -AXL-768-1B ; Side 2- AXL-769-1B.
Visually, the vinyl looks to be in good condition. I’ve just played the LP and it sounds pretty good too, although there are a few minor background crackles (not really unexpected on a 55 year old record!). It appears to be in mono.
The cover is in fairly good condition (see photo) with no unwanted writing, tears or rips. There is some minor wear at the two bottom corners. The cover is laminated at the front and the lamination flips over to the back cover forming “half-moon” shapes at the top and bottom of the back cover. The rest of the back cover is not laminated.
A mint version of this LP would be valued at around £200. However, this one has been played but well looked after, and I reckon that my starting price of £25 is good value for money for someone who wants a tidy piece of vinyl to play and enjoy.
