Description

For auction here is one of the Hot Rods rarest ever collectables.

In 1991, Hans-Jürgen Klitsch, owner of the German music journal “Hartbeat”  ran a feature covering the Hot  Rods (issue # 12).  Attached to the front of each of the magazines on the news stand was a 33 rpm 7” flexi disk -  Eddie and the Hots Rods “Ties the bind” and  Maryland Cookies “Fakes”.

Same time, Hans had a very limited number of just  ten  7” hard vinyl 45’s pressed. These where black vinyl with a plain white label. Each had a simple pencilled number on the label cataloguing them from 1 through 10. This particular one is #1.  Picture 3 shows the etching in the matrix area.  The intention was to give these 10 hard vinyl pressings to the members of the two bands.

The copy offered here was Hans own personal copy.  I acquired it directly from Hans when I was running a leading Hot Rods fan site at that time. I am now offering it for sale.
