Recently purchased, from a leftover 1930's dealer's

stock, the Five Little Chocolate Dandies, led by Don

Redman, play "Four Or Five Times" on a lovely Electric

OKeh 8627.


On the reverse, the same group, (but credited

as simply the Chocolate Dandies), plays "Paducah."

Some outstanding Lonnie Johnson guitar work.


Both sides were recorded in New York City on October

13, 1928.


The record is in delightful excellent-plus (E+)

condition, and needless to say, plays like a dream!
