For sale is this UK original vinyl 7" single, in a record company sleeve, by Elkie Brooks. Entitled Something's Got A Hold On Me, this was her first single and yet another track credited to Jimmy Page on guitar. The B-side is Hello Stranger. On the Decca label, the catalogue number is F.11928 and the date of issue is 1964. The original record company sleeve has a newspaper photo of Elkie sellotaped on it (see pic).
Condition
The vinyl is in Excellent condition.
The labels are in Very Good Minus condition with clear, perfect printing and only the very lightest of spindle marks but a name written on both sides and a small surface tear on the A-side (see pics).
All vinyl records are strictly graded according to Record Collector magazine's grading system, the long established UK standard, with any specific flaws mentioned along with the grading. They are sent in custom-made mailers, with built-in or added stiffeners, and are packaged outside their sleeves to prevent edge splits. Singles without a picture sleeve will either have a plain sleeve or a correct-era original (not repro) record company sleeve (stated above). Original record company sleeves may not be the exact sleeve issued with the single so may have a different catalogue number hand-written in the corner but they will be the correct design for the single. They may have a bit of wear, writing, stickers, sticker marks etc but will be in a generally good, useable condition without edge splits or sellotape.
