Description

A very 1st STEREO press from 1963 on UK Verve. Matrix A3/B2. One of the stampers shows as "1G" - which is excellent audio provenance. "Recording 1st published 1963". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original STEREO E J Day cover. In '63 Stereo was still very much a niche format making this copy quite a difficult one to track down.<<<<<<
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) A mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. A couple of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. Quiet intros and inbetweens. A really lovely clean player. Expect nothing more than a few crackles in one brief isolated moment per side. A truly excellent rendition. Hard to fault!
Cover (Vg+) Front looks great without creasing. The rear has escaped most of the usual ageing - just a touch of lightest foxing. Very little edge wear and the openings still very nice and firm. Flipbacks are intact and secure. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
