Description

This is Verve Records MG V-4010-4, Ella Fitzgerald Sing The Duke Ellington Songbook, a black, deep groove label, original mono issue of this 4 LP box set made up of the two 2Lp sets with an additional 12 page book. The records look to be in Near Mint/VG++  condition, showing almost no signs of wear. However, there is some noise (background crackle) audible on occasion possibly from the pressing. The music is still clear and clean without distortion or skips. The gate-fold covers show some light shelf wear.  Volume 1 has 2" splits on the bottom seams, Volume 2 has it on the top seams.The box itself has light shelf wear, a split on the top joins, and clear tape on the back spine. The booklet is excellent. The records have been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large jazz collection I will be posting over the next few months. .
