Description
Due to a future downsizing the time has come for me to sell 90% of my vast collection that has been put together the last 46 years. Its going to be a slow process over the next two years and will include some extremely rare items.
Up for sale in this listing is the extremely rare budget cover album on the Boulevard label pressed on limited edition red vinyl called 16 Hit Songs Volume 1
As many Elton fans know between 1969 - 70 Elton featured on over 40 tracks as an anonymous cover artist as part of The Alan Caddy Singers.
These tracks were then featured on countless budget cover albums across the world but the one we have listed here is one of the rarest.
For starters it contains the track " Question" which does not appear on any of the later released compilation albums that put a lot of the songs together.
This album features Elton as lead vocalist on 8 tracks and as backing singer or harmony vocals on another 4 tracks.....see pictures for full track listing.
This album from 1969 was not only pressed on black vinyl but a limited quantity were pressed on red vinyl and this listing is for one of the rarer red vinyl releases.
The vinyl itself comes in excellent condition with the cover very good. There are some small crosses penned against some of the track listings on the rear cover but that does not distract too much from the rareness of this album.
It's as good as an unofficial Elton John album that at the time nobody knew that the already successful Elton John who had penned the hit " Your Song" that started his super stardom had taken part in these budget cover albums.
Get this while you can they seldom come on the market nowadays.
