Description

This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of  Don't Be Cruel / Hound Dog released in the USA.

The record itself (47-6604 )is in VERY GOOD+ condition and retains some of it's natural sheen.

There are some marks /scratches( nothing too deep or drastic though).

 This is the RARE release WITHOUT the horizontal line.(see photos).

The labels are CLEAN and have NO WRITING but do have a small numbered sticker on one side (see photos)

The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2016 as $60-65 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is VERY GOOD+) for the sleeve alone!!!

This was Elvis' first photo and RARER picture sleeve and has Don't Be Cruel on the Top of this double "A" sided hit (the other variant of the sleeve has Hound Dog on top)

This sleeve is 64 years old there are a few signs of age.(see photos).

The black and white colours are quite bright and sharp.(see photos)

There is NO WRITING!!

 There is a small partial seam split on the top on both sides , Creases / ringwear , age discolouration and a very small tear to the top opener.

That all said This is a great affordable collection filler until that mint $125 (£100+) comes along!

The record is now stored in a paper sleeve and the picture cover in a poly sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this great RARITY.

Overall this was still valued at about $80(£64) back in 2016 , so i would guess this would have to be at least £65.

 I will start this at under a HALF of that!!

With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
