Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of Hound Dog / Don't Be Cruel released in the USA.
This comes with BOTH variants of the label.
The RARER With Silver Horizontal Line is in VERY GOOD+ condirion with some visible marks / scratches ( nothing that can be felt)
The RARER silverlined labels have NO WRITING.
The 2nd 45 has NO silver line and NO WRITING on the labels and grades as EXCELLENT-
There are some visible marks / scratches but nothing that can be felt.
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2016 as $50 in the condition it is in now (which I would say is VERY GOOD+) for the sleeve alone!!!
This sleeve is 67 years old and is in reasonable condition for the age (see photos)
The things that stop this from grading higher is a name wriitten on the front and some ringwear / scuff marks(see photos)
This is the 1st issued sleeve , which has Hound Dog on the Top ( The 2nd release had Don't Be Cruel On Top. ( see photos)
Overall this was valued at about $100 (£80) back in 2016 , so I would guess this would have to be at least £82.
I will start this at under A HALF OF THAT!!!
This, as with ALL of my picture sleeve releases comes housed in a separate paper sleeve containing the record and a protective poly sleeve to help try and prevent any further future wear!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
