Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of Don't Be Cruel / Hound Dog released in the USA.
The record itself (47-6604) is in EXCELLENT- condition .
There are some visible marks / scratches but nothing that can be felt.
The labels have NO WRITING (see photos)
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2016 as $75-80 in the condition it is in now (which I would say is EXCELLENT-) for the sleeve alone!!!
This sleeve is 68 years old and is in nice condition for the age (see photos)
The things that stop this from grading higher is some ringwear / creases and skight age discolouration , which is normally worse with this release (see photos)
This is also the RARER and harder to find issue with Don't Be Cruel On top ( rather than the alternate issue with Hound Dog on top. ( see photos)
Overall this was valued at about $100 (£75) back in 2016 , so I would guess this would have to be at least £78.
I will start this at under HALF OF THAT!!!
This, as with ALL of my picture sleeve releases comes housed in a separate paper sleeve containing the record and a protective poly sleeve to help try and prevent any further future wear!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
