What Makes This Record Album So Rare?
1-This was the very first Print of the Kissin Cousins Soundtrack LP, Without The Family or Cast Photo on the Cover. Very Few Were Printed.
2- This Copy is Also a Mono Version of The Soundtrack, Not Stereo. Keep in Mind That in the 1960s, When They Mixed the Mono Version, they had to Mix The Sound Differently from the Stereo Version. This Was For Clearity On the One Speaker Turn Table. You Will Hear Intruments and Vocal Parts That You Don't Hear on The Stereo Verion. So Your Getting A Different Version of Each of These Songs. The Mono Version of The RCA Albums Also Gave You More of the Album Cover Photo. That's Due To The Catalog Number Being Listed on The Lower Left Side.
Elvis Presley before the Jumpsuit era and after the Hound Dog Days. We are all aware of the 50's and 70's Elvis but the 60's was pretty much spent on making Movies. 31 Acting Roles to be exact. While curly his upper lip, He was quoted in the 68 Comeback as saying, "I did 29 pictures like that" meaning at that point he had made 29 movies by just curly his lip up. Just a joke but making movies was not a joke to Elvis. In fact, that was the main reason he got into music. He and his mother both wanted to act in movies. His life long dream was to be a serious actor. He proved that in, King Creole. Then was drafted into the ARMY. After serving two years, he made, G.I. Blues. Wild in The Country and Flaming Star followed. The Colenel showed Elvis how much more G.I Blues did at the box office so the decision was made that the public wanted to see Elvis sing and do light comedy on the big screen. This gave birth to the concept of, Blue Hawaii and shazam!!!! The Elvis Movie Plot was Born. Kissin Cousins was one of them tricky situations for The Colenel. He got the Movie Producers to pay Elvis for Two Roles. The Part of Josh Morgan and Jody Tatum.
