Description

ELVIS PRESLEY – “G. I. BLUES” (LSP-2256) – FIRST PRESSING from 1960.

RECORD:  VG+ with average surfaces for the grade. There are no scratches that can be felt with the fingertip. This Hollywood pressing should play quite well, but expect some random light “ticks” in softer areas of the music. This Original Soundtrack Recording is a "LIVING STEREO" release from 1960. It is a First Pressing with all Silver print on the labels. The labels show some fingerprinting, some light spindle marks on both sides as well as a bit of wear about the spindle hole. This multi-million selling soundtrack album contains no hit singles due to the fact that the airwaves were already flooded with recent hits from “The King”, just after his separation from the U. S. Army. The matrix numbers end with 3S/3S.

COVER:  VG+ with absolutely no seam splits, which says a lot for this particular issue. Most of these original album covers have at least a split upper, lower or both seams split! There is also no tape, writing or staple holes. The spine is fully legible, smooth and consistent. The upper & lower edges show just a small amount of wear, but more toward the corners. There is a miniscule tear at the open end on the back side, which is quite trivial. Light to moderate surface scuffing is present on both sides of the cover from contact with other albums. A clean and very original cover! Add this historic, Original Soundtrack Recording to your collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia today!

INNER SLEEVE:  The original “ELVIS IS BACK!” inner sleeve from 1960. There is a lengthy side split as well as two other shorter splits on this sleeve as well as some wrinkling. Some normal wrinkling is also present.

SONG LISTING:

SIDE 1:  Tonight Is So Right for Love; What’s She Really Like; Frankfort Special; Wooden Heart; G. I. Blues.

SIDE 2:  Pocketful of Rainbows; Shoppin’ Around; Big Boots; Didja’ Ever; Blue Suede Shoes; Doin’ The Best That I Can.

GOOD LUCK!
