Description
Here’s another hard to find record. ELVIS PRESLEY 78rpm ( DEMO ). King creole / Dixieland rock. THIS RECORD WAS ONCE OWNED BY THE BBC. As you can see they mullered the label. Why people do this to a record is beyond me. NOT MUCH MORE I CAN SAY ABOUT THE LABELS, THEY’VE BEEN TRASHED BUT STILL COMPLETE. THE RECORD COMES IN A REPRO GENERIC SLEEVE. GREAT CONDITION. THE DISC IS AN EASY EX+ for a 78rpm that is. THERE ARE NO SCRATCHES, JUST A FEW SMALL LIGHT STAINS HERE AND THERE. IV’E TRIED TO SHOW THESE IN THE PHOTO’S PROVIDED. DEMO 78’S DON’T COME ALONG ALL THAT OFTEN, THE 45’S ARE MORE COMMON. THIS IS DEFINITELY A RECORD FOR THE SERIOUS COLLECTOR. DAMN SHAME ABOUT THE LABEL. STILL A MUST HAVE. Good luck with the bidding. NO OVERSEAS BUYERS ON THIS ONE. TOO MANY GET BROKEN IN TRANSIT.
On 03-Feb-18 at 20:44:18 GMT, seller added the following information:Hi there everyone. Please do not bid on this item. I have been reliably informed that this record is a fake. Apparently RCA NEVER PRODUCED 78’s DEMO’s not for any of there atists. This I was unaware of before listing it. It seems it is a proper disc with the labels removed and demo labels stuck on. The marker pen used is just to cover up the dodgy printing. Some of you have already bid on this item, please retract your bids. I don’t want to be associated with fiddling people out of there money by selling dodgy gear. SORRY ONCE AGAIN.
