A GENUINE VERY 1st Press of THE ELVIS DEBUT on UK HMV. His first Album crashed into the UK charts in November 1956. And this copy comes from that release date as folks were getting their first long player taste of Elvis. Matrix 1N/1N. Tax Code 'RT' - correct for a November 1956 release date. There is another indicator of the very earliest copy available. The 1st copies went out with 'Shake Rattle N Roll' -  not numbered. You'll note it is track number 6 - but no sign of the '6' on the labels. Perhaps an indication of this track being a late inclusion. This issue was corrected within a month of 1st release. REMINDER - We DO NOT have the cover. What we do have is the original 'Take Good Care' inner which is correct for the time of release.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) Has seen a fair bit of use - this is about the average level you tend to find on original 50's Elvis. So, will not suit someone fussy. The buyer needs to be able to compromise on this on the understanding they are getting genuine early '56 Elvis at a reasonable price. A good few marks per side, a coupe are feelable and will sound. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an either VERYGOOD level of playback or VERYGOOD+ with deviation in a couple of spots per side. Loving it. Some tracks play great... e.g. That's Alright / Money Honey / Sit Down / Love Affair / Shake Rattle. Expect a but of background in the quieter tracks. More noticeable issues are in the following tracks. Blue Suede - some scufing causes a couple of clicks in a couple of spots and a couple of pops - but it pays through fine. 'Mystery Train' a bit of crackle here and there and a couple of ticks - stills sound great though. A pop/skip early in 'Get To You'. Not sure if you lose audio - it is brief. Overall a bit of a cracker. It needs a good home with someone who can appreciate it as a piece of RnRoll history. Just make sure the condition is at the right level for you.
