ELVIS PRESLEY LP ROCK N ROLL N0. 2 HMV CLP 1105

This is a well cared for copy of this rare Elvis LP which I have owned for about 54 years. I am not an expert or a collector: I am simply selling off the records from my teenage years and I believe this to be in very good/excellent condition.

The record itself plays well on my Dansette without any jumps, clicks or crackles that I can discern and the only visual marks are some faint cosmetic hairlines which can be seen in a strong light and probably caused just by sleeve removal. The label is clean with no discernible wear around the spindle. The matrix numbers stamped on the disc are G2-WP-7207-2N and 7208-1N with the XT tax mark embossed in the centre of the side 1 label and I believe this to be a first pressing. An excellent record.

The inner sleeve is clean with no marks other than folds in the corners where I guess it has sometimes doubled over when the record has been replaced in the cover.

The cover has a 1" tear at the front edge and a 1cm tear on the same edge on the reverse. It's a tiny bit frayed on the open edge and the same on the spine edge but the artwork is reasonably glossy with only a light impression of the record showing. The back is clean without any yellowing and the flaps are securely stuck down. I should say that overall the cover is very good. The price (35/10) can still be seen marked on the top right corner of the reverse.

Sice writing the above a friend has pointed out that the slight scuffing on the spine has removed the last 3 letters of Presley and I think I ought to note this.
