Selling a highly sought after collectable, Speedway by Elvis Presley in mono.
A very hard to find release, this mono pressing is the original 1968 Australian pressing. According to Wikipedia, "It is also the last Presley album to be released in both stereo and mono editions as mono was being phased out by the industry, thus making the rare mono pressing of Speedway (LPM-3989) a sought-after item among collectors".
The particular record shown is one of the best condition records I've ever owned from the 60's. Normally, they are considerably worn with scratches or wear on labels from the spindle but not this one.
The jacket, would be EX if it was not for a semi circle stain on the back of the jacket. The jacket has spent nearly its entire life stored in a protective sleeve.
The record is truly incredible. There is not a single noticable scratch on either side. Only under the strongest light can I see any scratches and there are all very minor light scratches. The label has both mono and stereo codes listed on it but the code stamped into the record (WPRM-1034) matches withe mono code listed on the label.
I have played it through once and it sounds mono and there is only a little background noise.
