ELVIS PRESLEY - “TODAY” (APL1-1039), A SCARCE, ORANGE LABEL PRESSING FROM 1975 IN SHRINK WRAP WITH SHRINK STICKER! RECORD: NM with beautiful, glossy surfaces! There is just some spotty haziness within the vinyl that has no effect on the audible performance. I played this record in its entirety and it was an absolute joy to listen to without any surface noise. No need to worry about any skips or repeats here! This scarce Hollywood pressing is the last regular-issue Orange Label album by Elvis Presley produced. Indianapolis, Tan Label pressings are much more plentiful in the collector's market. The Orange labels are absolutely beautiful, with only a few very light spindle marks noticed at the center hole. This album was released in May of 1975 and includes the hit singles "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" and "Pieces Of My Life / Bringing It Back". Curiously, the matrix numbers end with 40S/40S, which are rather high numbers for a First Pressing. These numbers are engraved; not stamped. COVER: NM with the shrink wrap still secured tightly on the cover. The "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" shrink Sticker remains fully affixed to the front. A store price sticker that had been placed over Elvis' gold scarf has been mostly removed, as though the album may have been a gift to someone in 1975. This cover remains entirely original, unchanged since new, as though it has just been removed from a time capsule! INNER SLEEVE: The original "ELVIS' Stereo 8 Tape Catalog" (55D) sleeve from the era. A couple of edge splits are noticed.
