I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE IN THIS LISTING,PLEASE READ THE RED PRINT BELOW:

In response to a question posted about removable centre,a kind Ebayer sent me pictures of an actual removable centre,these alas which are on my record are different.Removable centres have square tabs which fit into a square hole.As you can see,mine are removable,but then I don't think repacable.Sorry for the confusion,one thing for sure though,I would not call them solid.In light of this,value may have changed,I don't know if the Mysterie Train 7" actually has removable centres,these types or Solid vinyl.Please bid on this item as it is,I have not changed the listing,but I have provided any information I can.

New Lower Start Price,I payed around £65-70 for this,so I could loose out,but we shall see.

This Auction is for the Hugely Rare collectable 1957 7" single on the HMV label.Catalogue number is 45-POP 295.As this has the removable/replaceable centre instead of the solid centre,and in light of the fact it has never been taken out,so the label is not ripped,this is one of the hardest to find U.K.Elvis singles of all time,and it plays lovely.It comes in the original HMV paper sleeve.It is not split,that is great after 49 years.Although I found it hard to get much detail with my photograph,I think the condition can be clearly seen.Start price is high,this record is £350mint in the U.K.Record Collector price guide,and although only a guide,I am never likely to see one of these again,I payed an awfull lot for it anyway,and you don't have to bid,I think it is worthy of the price tab,only bids will tell.I don't offer any special postal insurance,but if you ask,I will do anything Royal Mail can provide,at your expense.I personally would ask for Enhansed Compensation Options,where £1 gives £100 cover,£2.25 covers upto £250,or £3.50 covers upto £500.Special delivery is also a good option,all are available to view at Royalmail.com.

I am sending this record in a new Cruciform mailer,with Polythene sleeve,card stiffener and a slab of polystyrene about 1cm thick for protection,heavily taped.

CONDITION:

VINYL:

Very Good+.There are slight surface marks and hairlines.The vinyl is quite glossy.Play is stunning,there are light crackles in the runoff,then during the music,it sounds really lovely,no sticks,pops or jumps and no background hiss.

LABELS:

Side 1 and 2 are quite different in condition.There seems to have been some sort of stain or dampness which has got to the Mystery Train side affecting some of the bottom half of the label which has made some of the Gold Print blurred.That said,labels are quite clean and there are no scribbles.

Love Me side has only a small stain the size of a pea.I feel the labels have faded with age,I would give a combined grading of Very Good to be safe.

SLEEVE:

Sleeve is as seen in my photo.I would put it between Very Good And Excellent.It is remarkable that after 49 years,it is not split,and only slightly torn around the viewing hole on one side.Writing is crisp,it has yellowed as to be expected.

Sorry about the photo quality,it is the best I can do with my old cheap camera.I cannot get detailed label shots.

I don't seem to have much interest in my 2 Elvis 1950's singles,and I want all Elvis gone.I can't be bothered to list them all,and only sell half.As a result,soon as I get good packaging,I am going to list all my elvis singles in a job lot(Watch This Space)Low start price,I know I have around 30 of them from the 60's in my room,I could have loads more in the attic.I don't know when I will find the right box,or details of what I have,but most will be in the Record Collector Guide,I intend to have them listed by christmas,I may even add a Buy it now,so I can get rid of it now.I like Elvis,but don't really care for singles,so would be glad to see them go,as on this occasion,I would rather listen to a greatest hits CD.Please:Be sure to add me to your favourites list!
