Historic early Enrico Caruso 78rpm shellac disc on Disco Zonofono (International Zonophone Co.):

• Recording Date: Milan, 19 April 1903 (documented in Caruso discographies)

• Reverse side: Embossed “Enrique Le Page y Cía, Buenos Aires” – South American export pressing


Notes:

This is an original c.1903 single-sided 10" shellac pressing from Caruso’s earliest Milan recording sessions, issued on Disco Zonofono for the South American market. 

South American export issues with the Buenos Aires emboss rarely surface and are much scarcer than European Zonofono pressings.


Condition (visual only):

• Disc shows typical handling wear for 120+ years; grooves retain good gloss.

• No edge chips or cracks observed; label shows some spindle wear (see photos).

• Playback not tested; sold as historical artifact, visual grade only.
