ENTERING THE DRAGON
Keith Hudson
After bursting on the Jamaican music scene in 1969 with a series of hit singles, Keith Hudson quickly gained a reputation as one of reggaes most consistently inventive and innovative record producers.
In the mid-seventies, while at the height of his success, he moved to the UK and signed for Virgin, although by this time his best years were behind him. In 1984, Hudson was diagnosed as having lung cancer and after months of treatment died, aged just 38 years.
Only ever issued in limited numbers and deleted soon after its original issue in 1974, Entering The Dragon features a selection of highly sought-after Keith Hudson productions from the early seventies.
While Hudsons own gravelly tones may be an acquired taste, his talents as a producer were second to none, with his work among the most sought-after on the collectors scene.
After some 32 years following its initial release, Entering The Dragon was finally available again.
