Description
This a rare and immediately sold out copy of the Sacred Bones release of the soundtrack to David Lynch's "Eraserhead" with music by David Lynch & Alan R. Splet. The extremely rare 'deluxe' editions which were limited to 300 hand-numbered copies. The deluxe edition is the standard edition packaged with an extra double-sided poster and wrapped in a thick black card sealed with wax. The Woman in the Radiator is silk screened on one side of the black card and the other side is sealed with the Sacred Bones wax seal and hand numbered in silver ink (this copy is # 148/300). These were limited to one per customer and quickly sold out as a pre-order. The vinyl itself is housed in a gorgeous gate-fold sleeve containing the LP, a bonus 7", a set of three prints, a 16 page booklet and a download card. The bonus 7" has Peter Ivers' classic "In Heaven" one side and on the other side is a newly unearthed Ivers recording of "Pete's Boogie" - taken from the original audio tapes and mixed by David Lynch. If you are looking at this I'll assume you are familiar with this classic film and its' incredible soundtrack - and let me tell you, this is the copy of the soundtrack you want. There will never be a release to match this heirloom quality, bespoke edition. Soon these will all be housed in collections and completely unavailable. I am extremely sad to see this go but will have to be satisfied with a standard edition for my own collection - bills to pay and all that. I removed the record from the plastic only to take the pictures. The wax seal is unbroken and the card wrapper has never been removed. As you can see in one of the pictures, it looks like there is a 2" seam split in the gatefold cover that was there when I got it from Sacred Bones.
