DESCRIPTION: Eve Boswell with the Reg Owen Orchestra- Sentimental Eve. 1st Uk pressing with fully laminates leeve, B&G labels, correct ply lined white inner and matrix ending 1N/2N. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Parlophone PMC 1038 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1957 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): EX/VG+. Vinyl is beautifully clean with a deep dark sheen. A couple of the faintest brushing lines visible when tilted to light prevent me from visually grade NM. This would look beautiful if it came from 2007 not just 1957. Played in its entirety today on my Pro- ject deck. Sits flat on the turntable. Sounds excellent . Clear and loud. Its amazing hearing music of this age and type without heavy crackle. Side A is probably a little better than EX. There is even silence between some tracks! There is the lightest trickle of background sound occasionally, mainly on side 2. Cover is in nice shape. It is firm and square and has light edgewear, cornerwear and a near moderate creasing. Rear of sleeve has light to moderate yellowing , hence lower grade. Fully ledgible spine. I got it in a PVC sleeve and its stayed in one since. Immaculately clean labels. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. This sounds beautiful. Ive had this for a long time and its not the type of record I would usually sell. I am only selling to make a bit of money for a few other records. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
