Exhorder Slaughter In The Vatican LP 1990 Roadracer vinyl OG EX/EX


A really iconic  and desirable piece of original vinyl here; the debut album from New Orleans heavyweights Exhorder. A really powerful and influential collection of tracks mixing up elements of savage thrash, brutal death metal and the emerging groove metal sounds of the time. Generally acknowledged as a significant influence and partner to Pantera’s Cowboys from Hell (released shortly afterwards).


This is the original European pressing on Roadracer Records which I bought on release from the sadly missed Tempest Records in Birmingham (England). It has been played but very carefully looked after and is in better shape than most copies of this elusive beast that come up for sale.


This copy is in excellent condition, the cover is approaching NM, with only a very small section of edge wear on the top seam (less than an inch width, see detail in pic). The vinyl is clean, shiny and untarnished giving pristine playback with minimal surface noise between tracks. The printed inner sleeve is in pristine condition with no bends, creases or splits.


There have been various reissues of this one but none come close to the original for two main reasons: 1. The cover art is far more vibrant. 2. The vinyl pressing is far more dynamic than later versions. It really jumps out of the speakers and grabs you by the throat! 


This will be carefully packaged in a reinforced LP mailer for posting. Unless the buyer specifies otherwise, I post records with the vinyl in the inner sleeve placed outside of the cover with all kept in a heavy polythene sleeve.
