A sparingly played, wonderful condition and much sought after UK 1st press copy of this 1970 folk/rock gem on the highly collectable Vertigo swirl label

The completely flat, gleaming vinyl is in truly impressive and excellent plus (EX+) condition - in normal daylight the appearance of both sides of the vinyl is perfect, giving off it's original jet black sheen, and it is only with close inspection under a bright light that just a few extremely wispy hairlines and equally faint paper scuff lines can be identified on each side. Clearly this record has been very sparingly played. Astonishing!  Near mint (NM) labels - if you look really closely under a bright light you may just be able to identify a single, small, and extremely faint spindle trail adjacent to the centre hole on each label - otherwise perfect!  The non-laminated, textured outer gatefold sleeve (notorious for it's fragility) remains in excellent plus (EX+) condition. The edges remain rigid with just a couple of tiny nicks on the top leading edge and just a few small, very light and sporadic scuff marks on the bottom leading edge, the corners remain nicely defined right angles with absolutely minimal rubbing, and the only blemish being just the hint of some very, very minor fraying on the front side leading edge (the opening edges are perfect - all very trivial.  The spine is rigid and in virtually unmarked condition, all art work, colouring, and text remains beautifully intact with perfect clarity, and the inside of the gatefold is nothing less than gorgeous with the only blemishes being x2 tiny "nicks" (one in the centre of the right side and the other towards the bottom left corner). Amazingly there is no ring wear whatsoever, which is normally present in some form on all 1st press textured gatefolds of this brilliant LP.  The audio quality is again excellent plus (EX+) :  no skips, jumps, repeats, clicks or background interference and only the merest hint of some extremely light and very occasional background crackle on side 2 (negligible) - simply superb sound quality with great tone and dynamic even at higher volume and frequency. Comes with original and near mint (NM) condition poly-lined Vertigo swirl inner sleeve with no splits, tears, edge fraying, or creasing - just some very mild  "browning" towards the top edges and a couple of very light and small storage marks on the reverse side.
Rare and sought after (especially in condition as truly impressive as this) 1970 original UK 1st press folk/rock gem - a great listen and a "must" for any serious prog rock vinyl collection.

Note that for Italy I now use a courier (either Parcelforce, UPS or DPD) for shipping purposes, for a flat fee of £17 (that includes tracking and signature)

Note that I always insert the vinyl(s) into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the sleeve itself  to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

Descriptions of any records I sell comply with the Rare Record Price Guide grading guidelines :

Mint  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair  The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor  The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad  The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
