Description

HELLO!!..Welcome to my auction!!...i will be adding many items this week so be sure to check back often!....YOU are bidding on a LP ALBUM from FORD MOTOR COMPANY apparently this was a promo given to salesmen in 1970...called THE GOING THING 1970...features a "up with people type" group on the front cover...i will try my best to describe this unusual lp for you...songs are ( i'm guessing on this one)..HAPPY HEART...DANCE TO THE MUSIC where they give the musicians names as, drums MITCH GORDON,HARRY SHANNON rytm guitar, bass TOM BAYLER and lead guitar LARRY CARLTON....HEY JUDE...(again i'm guessing on this one) HAPPINESS IS SELLING A T-BIRD (a beach boys-y type thing)....FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE...the second side is a long WEIRD medley of 60's songs...salutes THE BEATLES with a song to the tune of DAY TRIPPER...then off to brazil/bossa nova...then FOLK ROCK with a song to the tune of MRS. ROBINSON..then taste of honey...then gospel rock with RAY CHARLES to the tune of hallelujah i love her so and what i say...then to new country with one to the ode to bill joe song...say little prayer for you, into LOVE IS BLUE to AQUARIUS LET THE SUN SHINE IN...and then a song FORD STARTS THE 70's (again i guess, could be called BETTER IDEAS or GOING THING?)...no titles anywhere on the label there IS a number XCTV 142117...the lp itself is VG+++ with two small light scuffs on side 2 that do not effect play and lp could use a good cleaning...the cover has slight ringwear to front cover...the back cover is BLANK except for the FORD emblem ...if you collect BIZARRE lps you need this one!..picture is actual item.....and HECK YES we combine shipping!!....lp's ship via USPS....we PREFER PAYPAL..thanks and PLEASE check our other items...GOOD LUCK!!
