Description: Original italian library by talented vibraphonist Franco Chiari and his band from 1977, issued on New Bingo label, a sub-sidiary of Beat Records. Outstanding library music from one of the most exciting Italian jazz players. No info at all about the backing band except Franco De Gemini credited as author and executor of several tracks of this LP. De Gemini imprint is highlighted on “Beat Blues”, opening track of the sound clip: an infected mix of screaming hammond funk, bouncing funky drumming and horn section, piano Fender Rhodes and stylish lounge vibraphone played by Chiari himself. My personal fave for years and uncompiled 'till today. More tropical / Brazilian influenced jazz on “A go go” (with a dreamy tropical / marimba percussion probably played by Chiari himself) and “Sosinho”. Discover also the beautiful modal jazz groove of “Swing anni 50” with hot funky guitar riff and “Five Moogs” with Franco rockin’ on moog/synth rhythm! Finally the exquisite bossa nova with moog of “Il valzer delle Favole”.. Solid album from start to finish and a pleasure to listen to, so enjoy the long sound clip on my channel. Rare LP!
Conditions: Cover is VG/VG+ overall, some crease on corners and general ring wear on the back. Record is VG+, moderate background noise and some light pops here and there. Label is clean. Sound clip recorded from the actual record for sale, so listen carefully to it.
