I have for auction from my own collection this stunning original release of this very early Frank Zappa release.It took me a very long time to find a copy in this condition and i came accross this one while on holiday in bournemouth many years ago.I paid a lot of money for it and have never seen another one since anywhere near as good.This is a very rare opportunity for Zappa collectors to add this highly collectable item to their collection.
The sleeve is in beautifull condition with no laminate lift and the broad spine is almost perfect,(see photographs).There are just a couple of minor creases that stop me grading it as mint.I think a grading of near mint is fair especially when you consider this album is 43 years old!!.This broad spine copy was the very first issue of this album.
The vinyl is also in super condition,there are no scratches at all.If examined under strong light i can see a couple of faint marks these do not sound and are only very light surface marks.There are some faint spindle marks on the label but the matt black Verve label shows up marks more so than other label types.I have an £18,000 Linn Naim system and found the pressing to be very acceptable with only minor amounts of surface noise,as i have said it is 43 years old.A grading of Exc++ would i feel be fair,i do not want to receive bad feedback due to over grading my records.
