Description
This is a super rare 1963 45 rpm release of Kenny Smith and Jeri Jackson's "All The Time" and "Summer's Gone" on Ohio's own Fraternity Records.

Provenance: This - and all the 45s and LPs that I'll be listing - are from my personal collection, given to be personally by Sam and Becky Phillips. My uncle was Sam Phillips, of Sun Records. His wife, my Aunt Becky, was one of the first female deejays on the first all-woman radio station, WHER, that Sam founded and which went on the air on October 29th, 1955. Of Becky's voice, Sam had this to say: "There's something about your voice, out of the night, out of the light, out of the sky, here comes your voice. On a little Atwater Kent radio or something." Becky continued her broadcasting career for three decades after WHER's inception. This 45 is an advance copy that she may or may not have ever played on air.
The sleeve is the original blue-on-white Fraternity Records sleeve, printed on front and blank on the back. Some definite cornering, aging, and creasing to sleeve but it is still very regal and in place.
The record has minor visible flaws but no major scratches nor needle marks. No visible warping. You can make out very slight imprints from the sleeve on the vinyl but you have to go looking for these. It could, I'm sure, do with a good clean but I'm leaving that up to you the pro and not to me! Also, I'm admittedly too chicken with a needle to attempt to play this so this item is sold as-is and untested.
