This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker,  New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.

 Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

**AMAZING HEAVYWEIGHT QUALITY 175g**
VG+.
VERY nice, heavy & shiny vinyl! She carries light needle marks to her, which make very little difference to the audio reproduction.
I have just finished listening to all of her and found a gloriously clean and clear audio output-quite stunning really!
!UTTER QUALITY!
Barely even any occasional light background noise-really just one or two light pops- nothing at all to detract from the DEEP rich and clear bass.
FLAT, HEAVY AND ALL ORIGINAL!
GREAT SOUND WITH SUPERB CLARITY.

 There is some slight central hole wear-as can be seen in the detailed images provided-side 1 appears to have been sympathetically touched up and, with many light spindle marks, but these are really only evident when angled towards the light.
Also, when angled towards the light I noticed the very slight impression of a name, under the rubbed little patch on side 1...Only spotted it when looking closely.
 Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd" "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number.
NO "Sold In UK..." statement...Showing it is the 5th pressing.

Now, here's the more unusual fact about this label:
Side 2 carries the really rather rare "MKT" tax code-very faintly-
This is an unusual tax code for this lp as the PT tax code was used from Nov 26th 1962, through to Jan 1st 1963, when it changed to the MT tax code and then again on the 1st of July 1963, where it changed again into the more familiar KT tax code. This unusuality has the transition through each of these times-rather unusual for all you tax code collectors out there. ****************

RARER 1st PRINTING EJ DAY COVER
( These were produced at roughly a ration of 1:10, compared to the usual Garrod & Lofthouse covers)
 There is a fair amount of wear to this cover-as can be seen in the images provided. However-she stays intact and remains strong.
 A genuine 1st printing Ernest J Day cover with the Angus McBean in the lower right corner on the front.
Split spine as well as split to the bottom seam and spidering to the laminate.
