FRED SOBEY & JERRY ADAMS Wipe Out/Walk Don’t Run b/w Toy Drums 45rpm record on J-A-R label
What we have here is a very mysterious private press surf rock 45 on a label called J-A-R. The A side is a double shot of surf with their own killer versions of Wipe Out and Walk Don’t Run that have swinging jazzy organ and guitar. The B side is a weird cool experimental surf rock drum solo called Toy Drums that is 5:57 long! An almost 6 minute surf drum solo! No idea about the artist or the label - the internet doesn’t have any info. But damn the music is hot. Condition is VG with visual light marks that don’t affect play other than light surface noise here or there - no skips or issues. Cleaned and play tested. The label on side B has the number “26” written on it 4 times. I believe it is from the Minneapolis-area as other releases on the JAR label list Minneapolis address and list Jerry Adams as a player or producer.
